Edward John Barron, Jr., age 84, of Allison Park, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Born February 3, 1937 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Agnes (Nuner) Barron, Sr. He was married on April 25, 1959 at St. Gabriel Church to Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Stokes) Barron.
Edward worked in sales in the heating and air conditioning industry for 40 years, including 20 years at R.E. Michael Company.
Ed was a proud veteran of the Marine Corp and a member of Three Rivers Leatherneck Detachment 310 and also the quartermaster of Detachment 310. He loved to go hunting, especially with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Barron, of Allison Park; two daughters, Denise Barron of Cranberry Township and Beth Ann (David) Kelly, of Richland Township; , grandchildren, Derek (Kelly) Hathazy, Kevin (Megan) Kelly, Sara (Adam) Sporrer, Bryan Kelly and great granddaughter, Sage Hathazy.
Ed’s family will welcome friends from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 P.M. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 12, at St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church, 2554 Wildwood Road in Allison Park.
He will be laid to rest at Holy Savior Cemetery in Gibsonia.
The family suggests Memorial donations may be sent in Ed’s honor to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
